This is a post based on a Picture based prompt that appears every Friday. Looking at the image, two thoughts came to mind, the first one posted here, the second one, Start of a Love Affair, on my other site.

The day could not have been more perfect. Bright, sunny, the chill gone. The Sun majestically gleaming, giving a comforting warmth making it a picnic perfect morning. It was as if the God’s had wanted this day to happen.

It was undoubtedly, the event of the decade. Everyone who was any one was there to witness it. The youngest 1 month; the eldest 90, all in their Sunday finest, happiness glowing on their faces, their eyes glinting with excitement.

Church wedding? Nope. Their local Library was back. Back from the ashes it went to, a decade ago.

A 100 Word short story written for Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields.

About asarpota

Like to fly, but at the same time, quite on the ground, and do tend to be realistic. Very passionate about what I believe in and do, no patience with idiots, not a perfectionist, but trying to come close to it.... Not a nerd btw, value my friends very much, can criticize and have the b***s to take it on my chin. A spade is a spade!!!

An uplifting story. Would that the great Library of Alexandria would return from the ashes.
