One day, unlimited funds, spend on all the luxuries you want. Now, if only that would happen in real life. But, hey, I am not complaining, even if this opportunity comes simply as a prompt.
What would I do? Buy a Round the World Ticket, or better, rent an Airbus A-380 custom-built for a full day to be at my beck and call. Now, I would have preferred a Concorde, but unfortunately, they are no longer in active duty, so an A-380
First stop, without a question. Paris. People call it the city of Love, Romance, but that for me is a city that is simply beauty personified. The history, the Architecture, the Palaces, the serenity of the Seine River, one could simply roam Paris all day long and it would simply not tire you. But hey, one day.. A personalized tour around the Louvre, a visit to the Eiffel Tower, right at the top, followed by a visit to the vineyards for some wine tasting.
London, Liverpool, Scotland, Ireland would be next on my trip. A quick meeting with the Queen, a moment in time in the home town of the Beatles, a hop skip to Scotland / Ireland for the country side, lively lives and of course, their Whiskey’s.
Onwards to the Big Apple for a tour around the city, Central Park, a helicopter ride around the city, and stopping by the Statue of Liberty for a Photoshoot. Vegas, the Grand Canyon and Tennessee would be next on the list. Gambling, Natural wonder and the King of Soul, Rock and Roll.. What a way to end.
On to Brazil, and since I have unlimited funds, would of course, have the carnival played around even for a few hours. There are without a doubt a 100 more places probably more beautiful than the beaches of Brazil, but with just one day, would not want to spend that steeped in history.
Crocodile Dundee land would for sure be next, with a visit to the Great Barrier Reef and the Blue Mountain, and on the way in, would have flown over New Zealand for sure.
The Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal would all be part of the route back, how can one not see monuments that have survived the sands of time. The Sun City next, topping it up with a Kenyan Safari, the feeling in the open.
Back home, with a final visit to the Burj, the tallest structure in the world, sitting right at the very top.
Of course a dream run, for sure do not mind not buying a Bentley or a Rolls or for that matter a Lamborghini, but hey, these are material. The joys of being able to see the world in a day would be far more memorable than having a few hours in a speeding car any day, any place.
But, if only, wishes were horses….
