A new beginning

‘Do you think it is a party?’
‘Don’t know, don’t care’.
‘I see some balloons. Quite colorful ones too’.
‘I said, I don’t care. Even if there is one, why would they let strangers in? We are simple folk, not invited, nor dressed properly.’
Silence.
‘There is food for sure and warm fire too’ rumbled a mumble. ‘I hear some music. Welcome to the Hotel California…’
‘This is NOT California and we are not invited!’
‘But, Jim; It’s Xmas’.
With a pregnant pause, Jim led his sister to the lodge. A big smile, a bear hug reinforced his sister’s trust.

About asarpota

Like to fly, but at the same time, quite on the ground, and do tend to be realistic. Very passionate about what I believe in and do, no patience with idiots, not a perfectionist, but trying to come close to it.... Not a nerd btw, value my friends very much, can criticize and have the b***s to take it on my chin. A spade is a spade!!!

Such a hopeful and uplifting story. Although… by bringing the music into the picture, you still have all the options, because we don’t know what happens once they’re inside. 🙂

Good that they weren’t kicked to the curb. That’s usually the case, not all are that welcoming. Enjoyed the optimism. 🙂
